21st May

Hi Everyone,

Today was another busy day at quilting with the countdown to our show getting closer. Thank you to everyone who submitted their quilt entries today we have plenty quilts to make our show a must see event for our community and beyond to attend - everything is coming together.
Last week I posted a save the date for our upcoming Retreat and I am happy to confirm the dates will be
8th - 9th September. We need to know if you wish to attend asap to Narelle so the cost can be calculated and payment information given out. Narelle has organised a Tea & Coffee station - all day, morning tea and lunch for both days, so come along and enjoy two fun filled days of sewing, chatting and laughter. You never know what might happen at the Retreat, but I can guarantee you will feel recharged.

Deb A has made these Kittens in Beds to be sold at our show

Show News
Our show is on track with thanks to the Show Committee and of course our members. Our crafty ladies have been busy making items to be sold at the show. I haven’t taken any pictures of our felt crowns so you will just have to come and see for yourself - they are so cute.
Iris now has all the entries so now Sue D retrieves her trusty calculator to work out the size frames required and hanging order to display the quilts. This is a huge job as it is not only the size of quilts to be considered but also colours and design.
Show Committee meeting is next week.

Retreat
Our Retreat is at North Ryde RSL Club, 27-41 Magdala Road, North Ryde on Tuesday and Wednesday
8th - 9th September from 10am - 5pm. Please see Narelle if you are interested in attending.

Show & Tell
Helen received this table centrepiece from her daughter as a gift on Mother’s Day. Each grandchild’s handprint, initial of their name and  a bird that represents them has been embroidered to make this memorable centrepiece. Well done Susie M.

You can’t keep a good woman down Carolyn has made 5 Baby quilts
