Hi Everyone,

Today at quilting we had fabulous displays from Christie, Deb and Akiko at our pre-Christmas craft sale. I am glad some people were able to purchase some Christmas gifts, as the shopping centres are crazy with crowds of people and overflowing car parks for the pre-Christmas sales.

Next week is our Christmas Party and it will start at 11am. You need to bring some food to share either sweet or savoury, a plate and a glass. This is a fun day at quilting where the competitive spirit comes to the forefront when the games begin.

Meg started this project a couple of years ago for her youngest granddaughter. With help from Grace who completed the final couple of blocks, the backing and hand quilted this amazing quilt.

Hi Everyone,

We have a couple of weeks left before we break for Christmas so Jane is busy delivering Baby quilts for Little Wonders @ RPA to Olivia and 6 quilts to RizeUp Australia. It is a busy time of the year and it was wonderful seeing so many of our members at quilting today.

Next week 28th November we will be holding a pre-Christmas stall. Christie, Akiko and Debbie will have items for sale.

For the ladies who have not been able to join us owing to ill health, we miss you at quilting and wish you a speedy recovery.

Hi Everyone,

Thank you to the ladies who helped sort fabric today and also to those who sewed labels onto quilts.  It has been a busy week with me attending a Public Hearing on Wednesday night regarding the reclassification of 14 Church Street where our hall is situated and collecting a donation of Baby Quilts.

I received a call from Sue K who is moving house and donated to us 32 Baby Quilts she had made. We will be passing them on to Little Wonders @ RPA and thanks Sue for your generosity.

7th November Community Day

Hi Everyone,

There was plenty of activity at quilting today with the ladies busy doing Community projects. Thank you to everyone who made baby quilts this week for Little Wonders @ RPA. We require another 10 Baby quilts for their Christmas delivery to the NICU.

Over the next couple of weeks I would like each table to take some boxes of fabric from our cupboards to sort and reorganise. We are arranging for a company who will collect and substantially recycle any fabric which can no longer be used by us. Our group has worked hard to ensure that fabric which we cannot use went to Achieve or Days for Girls. It has become necessary as our cupboards are overflowing with fabric that has been generously donated to us this year and it is time to re-evaluate what we will keep.

It is hard to believe we are nearly at the end of our year at quilting. I would like our members to start thinking about 2025 and consider about taking an active role either on the Management Committee or the Quilt Show Committee.

🎂 Happy Birthday to the ladies who celebrate their birthday in November🎂. I hope you enjoy your special day.
