I am happy to report that our sign was hanging up in poll position on the railing fence at Fairland Hall today and will hopefully entice other quilters to join our group.
Alison reported that Days for Girls made a staggering 600 bags from the plain fabric we gave them from Deirdre’s donation. It is always satisfying to hear that donated fabric is never wasted but repurposed and reused by organisations such as Days for Girls.
It was also wonderful to catch up with Carolyn for a short period of time this morning who has been missing from our group owing to ill health. We are looking forward to your return to quilting.
Annual Membership Fees
Only a couple of weeks to go! Membership fees are now due please see Jonquil with your payment if you are paying cash or you can EFT your $120 into HHQs bank account - payment is due by 31st March.
Show Chatter
🧵Show date 14th - 16th August 2026 at the Hunters Hill Town Hall
🧵Today we handed out a survey that we are asking our members to complete regarding our 2026 Quilt Show. Have your say, as it is important for us - the Show Committee to hear what you are thinking and what you would like to happen at your show. If you were not at quilting today a copy of the survey will be emailed to you. Please take the time to complete it and return it to Grace.
🧵Next week Deb will be have a table setup for anyone who wishes to join her in making book marks. Come and join in the fun.
🧵Grace will be holding our first workshop for our Raffle quilt on 3rd April. If you wish to help please bring your sewing machine or rotary cutter or help with the ironing process. Everyone is welcome to participate.
Next Show Committee Meeting
Our next meeting will be held on Thursday 8th May.
Craft & Quilt Fair
Will be held at the ICC on 25-28 June. We have been allocated a stall so we can show a small display of work plus hand out information about our group. I will need names from people who are willing to volunteer their time at the Fair soon so please look out for the signup sheet at quilting.
Mid Week Retreat
