8th May - Community Day

Hi Everyone,

Today we held a workshop on making crowns which was a lot of fun. Thanks Deb T for organising this  for us all to enjoy.
At HHQ’s we are a diverse group and you always find out something new when talking to members. One of our newest members Courtney has found out her Pussyhat is on display at the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. Courtney is one of thousands to knit and wear a Pussyhat during the 2017 Women’s March protesting the US President in New York City, USA.
Pussyhat, 2017 made by Courtney which celebrates the diversity of women.

Show News
Drum roll please! Suzie L suggested we revamp our show rosettes and accepted the mission. With the help from Sue B who did the machine embroidery - all I can say is wow they look amazing. I even wore white gloves to handle them and placed them back in the protective bags straight after Show & Tell. Thank you Suzie and Sue for all you had work.👏

Heather made some cup bags out of the scrap fabric from Carolyn. Jane made 3 puzzle balls, Judy made microwave bowl holders and Iris has made cards which will all be for sale at our upcoming show.

30th April

Hi Everyone,

Another month is drawing to a close and that means we are another month closer to our 2026 Quilt Show in August.
Our members were busy today with their sewing and of course plenty of chatter.
A reminder to all members if you haven’t received your information on conditions of entry for our quilt show please contact me asap. We have also printed out copies for those members who are unable to print out the forms and they are available at quilting. We are also asking for a hard copy photo for your quilt/s for each entry.

Show News
From our meeting today we discussed hashtags to be used on social media so if you are posting on Facebook or Instagram please include #huntershillquiltshow2026 and #huntershillquiltshow2026sales.
This will create more viewings on our accounts.
