23rd April

Hi Everyone,

Today at quilting Grace gave her updated countdown till our Show - 111 days until the big event. It is always lovely to see our members each week but unfortunately not everyone is able to attend, so when Carolyn visited us today she had her bag of 10 baby quilts plus some fabric “scraps” for us to share. To the other ladies who are unable to attend quilting we miss you and hope you will be able to join us again soon.
Once again everyone was busy and a group of ladies pinned and hand tied a Wagga. When a small group gathers together the task at hand proceeds quickly and becomes fun. Jane is making some puzzle balls to be sold at our show - these are ideal gifts for a baby or toddler.

Under construction - Wagga to be sold at our Show

Special mention to Blue Mountains Quilters on a wonderful show last weekend. There was an amazing display of quilts, retail shops to inspire your creativity and a cafe to help you recharge.

9th April

Hi Everyone,

I hope everyone enjoyed their Easter break with family and friends and you paced yourselves on the consumption of Easter Eggs and Hot cross Buns.
Pacing yourself is important as Easter Egg hunts can be exhausting!

We were smaller in number at quilting today as it is school holidays and members have family obligations with caring for grandchildren so it is understandable why our numbers were on the low side. However this never stops the business of the ladies who did attend.
I have listed below some more Quilt Shows that will be happening in the next couple of months. Next week is the Blue Mountains Quilt Show.
A tip from Grace today was when you submit your quilt for our show can you deliver your quilt in a cloth bag or pillowcase as it makes for easier folding and storage.

2nd April - Community Day

Hi Everyone,

Another busy day at quilting with Community quilts being worked on and a group were organising the Raffle tickets to be sold by our members. Grace and myself will be handing out the envelopes containing the tickets over the next couple of weeks. Our raffle quilts will be hanging at Material Obsession if you would like to have a closer look.

🎉 Happy Birthday 🎉 to the ladies who celebrate their birthday in April - wishing you many happy returns for your special day.

Happy Easter
