Hi Everyone,

Remember next week we will be displaying the Christmas challenge bunting for our members to have their vote. Grace has provided a mystery prize from “The Shed” to the winner of the challenge.

Marie K will be running our bag work shop next week and has 7 kits ready to be sewn. If you can bring a sewing machine, cutting board, bright coloured fabric and rotary cutter, that would be appreciated. Alison will be posting information on our WhatsApp group for this workshop.

Quilt Show Update

It’s all systems go for our show. The Town Hall has confirmed our booking for 1-4th August.

Annual Membership Fees

Membership fees are now due please see Jonquil with your payment if you are paying cash or you can EFT your $120 to our bank account. If you are unsure of the bank details please see me at quilting.

Retreat

Narelle is taking names for our Retreat in September, so if you are interested see Narelle at quilting and she will give you a form to complete.

Hi Everyone,

Another hot day and we were very grateful for the air conditioned hall. Christie and Jenny finished their completed table runners for the show. Ann was busy working on a quilt for community made out of blue and white hexagons. We were smaller in number but very productive with busy hands.

I handed out 2024 Diary Dates today and will make sure each member receives a copy.

Alison will update everyone on our Quilt Show news next week as we are waiting for an issue to be resolved from council. Stay tuned!!

Our show judge Brenda Colahan has confirmed her time to judge the quilts on Thursday 1st August at 2pm. Brenda will be back for our show opening on Friday 2nd to hand out prizes to our winners at 11am.

1st February Community Day

Hi Everyone,

Our first Community Day for 2024 was today and as per usual we were a busy group. Grace lead our Table Runner workshop with fabric from our community stash - our members assembled their runner called Christmas Tree table runner by Kathy Doughty (kits are available from Material Obsession www.materialobsession.com.au).

Community News 

Today Jane gathered 40 baby quilts to be delivered to Olivia for Little Wonder @ RPA to be handed out on Valentine’s Day.

Our Pink Group completed a hexagon design cover for a wheelchair for a resident at a local nursing home.

Quilt Show Update

6 months or 182 days today until our Quilt Show!! I know the 1st August is bump in day and the show will officially open on Friday 2nd but I am now adding in a countdown calendar and updates of important dates.
