2nd May Community Day

Hi Everyone,

Today at quilting we were visited by Krystiana from RizeUp who spoke to us about the ongoing and growing battle against domestic violence in Australia. RizeUp is responsible for the fit out of houses or units for people or families fleeing domestic violence by providing a welcoming home environment. Hunters Hill Quilters is supporting RizeUp at our upcoming Quilt Show in August. 

We were also able to supply Krystiana with 6 quilts and 3 knitted blankets for future homes. 

Community

Jane is delivering 40 Baby quilts to Olivia for distribution on Mother’s Day for Little Wonder @ RPA hospital. Thank you to our members who continue to support Little Wonder by making Baby quilts.

As above RizeUp received 6 quilts and 3 knitted blankets today.

🧵 The entry form for the Quilt Show has been emailed as a PDF and hard copy will be available at quilting for those members who cannot complete an online form (please see Sandy).

🧵9th May - your show quilt entry form with your quilts details and measurements are to be given to Iris.

🧵Next Show Committee Meeting will be 16th May.

Retreat

Narelle is taking names for our Retreat in September, so if you are interested see Narelle at quilting and she will give you a form to complete. The Retreat will be held at St Joseph’s Spirituality & Educational Centre, 8 Humphrey Road Kincumber South on 6th - 8th September.
