Hi Everyone,

A smaller number of people were at quilting today owing to Easter. This didn’t stop our members having a catch-up whilst sewing. We are all busy thinking and sewing for the show, so I am happy to report that Sheila completed a bag and Sue D made 2 hats to be sold at the show.

🐣🐥🐰Wishing you all a happy Easter and safe travels if you are going away for the long weekend.

Next week will be our Community Day and we are making daycare hats to sell at the show. If you are able to bring to the workshop your sewing machine and a mini iron it would be appreciated. Alison has prepared hats kits to be sewn.

Narelle is taking names for our Retreat in September, so if you are interested see Narelle at quilting and she will give you a form to complete. The Retreat will be held at St Joseph’s Spirituality & Educational Centre, 8 Humphrey Road Kincumber South on 6th - 8th September.

Hi Everyone,

It was unfortunate that Krystiana from RizeUp was unable to come and speak to us today, but we have rescheduled her visit for 2nd May.

Our 40 Easter Baby Quilts for Little Wonder @ RPA are being delivered to Olivia for her to organise distribution to the NICU babies - thanks to Jane.

Hi Everyone,

Today we were able to see the completed bags which will be sold at our Show - they look amazing well done ladies!

We were grateful for the installation of a new air conditioning unit in the hall today so we now have 2 working units. Thanks to Hunters Hill Council who organised the works to be completed before we started our quilting today.

I have forgotten to wish a Happy Birthday to the ladies who celebrate their birthday in March 🎂. I hope you enjoy your special day.

7th March Community Day

Hi Everyone,

Today was our Bunting voting day and bag making workshop. All I can say is thank you to everyone who participated in the Bunting challenge and once again I am amazed at the variety produced by our members. The Bunting will be sold at our Quilt Show in August.

The bag making workshop had us all busy and we were able to sew the seven kits prepared by Suzie L, Deb T and Alison. Special thanks to our “supervisor” Marie K who kept us on the straight and narrow as an expert in making the bags.

Our viewers choice winner is Heather who made the doll bunting. Thanks to Grace and Akiko who hung the Bunting for us today.

Hi Everyone,

Remember next week we will be displaying the Christmas challenge bunting for our members to have their vote. Grace has provided a mystery prize from “The Shed” to the winner of the challenge.

Marie K will be running our bag work shop next week and has 7 kits ready to be sewn. If you can bring a sewing machine, cutting board, bright coloured fabric and rotary cutter, that would be appreciated. Alison will be posting information on our WhatsApp group for this workshop.

Hi Everyone,

Another hot day and we were very grateful for the air conditioned hall. Christie and Jenny finished their completed table runners for the show. Ann was busy working on a quilt for community made out of blue and white hexagons. We were smaller in number but very productive with busy hands.

I handed out 2024 Diary Dates today and will make sure each member receives a copy.

Alison will update everyone on our Quilt Show news next week as we are waiting for an issue to be resolved from council. Stay tuned!!
