Today was our Christmas Party and our last meeting day for 2025. It has been a busy year and our group has completed many projects especially our 2 raffle quilts for our 2026 Quilt Show.
Thank you to all our members who have made this a memorable year and a time to share family stories or the latest local gossip. I enjoy Thursdays not only for the quilting and learning new techniques but also for the friendships with my fellow quilters.
The food and beverages were fabulous and thank you to Narelle for organising the beverages and making the cranberry punch.
When I asked the ladies if they were “ready to rumble” to play our game I never thought that Pass the Parcel could be so loud with laughter or dare I say creative with seat swapping. You are never too old to play games.
Sue D won a prize for coming to the party with her completed Christmas Challenge. For the rest of us it is not due until February.
This year’s challenge is to make an 8.5”x 8.5” finished square block in bright colours with white if it is in the design of your fabric. You can choose your own pattern/design anything is acceptable- appliqué, hand or machine stitch your block. Due back by 19th February.
